Kārlis Maulics

Kārlis Maulics is a Latvian entrepreneur and the founder of Contrario Investments. He built his capital through senior corporate roles while investing in parallel, before establishing Contrario as the principal vehicle for his investments. Over more than fifteen years, he has invested across renewable energy, agriculture, real estate and sustainable manufacturing, with a focus on originating, developing and realising projects that support regional growth and resilience.

Before establishing Contrario Investments, Kārlis held leadership roles at SIA BELSS and the Environmental Development Association, where he helped secure more than €40 million in EU and state project financing. He has also contributed to national energy policy through the Ministry of Economy's Renewable Energy Resources Law working group.
